Intriguing story
An impressive first novel by a Tasmanian author. It is an intriguing mix of the story of the search for a missing girl and old Icelandic and Irish myths about the sea people. I do not usually like either of those genres, but this novel had me totally captivated, I couldn't wait to get back to reading it every day. It is a long novel and takes some patience to read all the stories, but well worth the effort. It is very evocative of the seascape of Tasmania, and in particular, of Hobart. Review by Gail
