gr reviewer Melinda Woledge said of the book in her five star review, 'Part nature book, part murder mystery and courtroom drama, and part coming-of-age story, this is a stunning read and widely deserving of the accolades it’s received. Owens’ lush writing brings the marshland and Kya’s isolated yet magical world vividly alive. Amid Kya’s lonely abandonment, there is also friendship and hope. Highly recommended.'
