Sydney Writers' Festival announce 'Something to Talk About' event

Sydney Writers' Festival (SWF) have announced a series of events called 'Something to Talk About', taking place across the weekend of 16-17 December at Carriageworks in Redfern.

On Saturday 16 January, author Douglas Stuart, winner of the 2020 Booker Prize for Shuggie Bain, will appear in conversation remotely from New York. Saturday will also see, Jennifer Byrne, Michael Mohammad Ahmad and Benjamin Law, hosted by SWF artistic director Michael Williams, discussing their favourite books of 2020.

On Sunday, Adam Briggs and Archie Roach are hosting a family event talking about Briggs' recently published book Our Home, Our Heartbeat. Later, Norman Swan, Gayle Kennedy, Maxine Beneba Carke and Kate McClymont will host a panel talking about what 2021 holds for writers and the publishing industry.
