NT Writers Festival is coming up, 23 - 26 June 2022

NT Writers Festival returns to beautiful Larrakia land for four days of talks and immersive events celebrating story, language and culture shaped by place.

Founded in 1999, the NTWF is the Northern Territory’s premier literary showcase. The festival seeks to bring readers, writers and storytellers together in an annual celebration of ideas, words, stories and languages that present the Northern Territory’s unique culture and rich First Nations heritage.

The festival is held across four days (23 - 26 June) and this year’s line-up includes a host of brilliant writers and storytellers from across the country. Join Hannah Kent, John Safran, Jackie Huggins, Larissa Behrendt, Delia Falconer and other writers exploring the theme of balarr | catching the light.

Larrakia land is surrounded by incredible displays of light, from sunsets, lightning storms to glistening waterfalls.

In light of the many crises we’re currently experiencing globally – writers will explore the concept of how light illuminates darkness.
