Jaclyn Moriarty to publish her adult fiction debut

Pan Macmillan Australia has aquired YA author Jaclyn Moriarty's first young adult novel, Gravity Is the Thing.

Moriarty is a prize-winning Australian author best known for the young adult novels Feeling Sorry for Celia, the Colours of Madeleine trilogy and The Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Mettlestone.

Her adult fiction debut follows single mother and café owner Abigail Sorenson who has been mysteriously receiving scattered chapters in the mail of a self-help manual, the Guidebook, since her brother Robert went missing twenty years earlier.

Now, two decades after receiving those first pages, Abi is invited to an all-expenses paid weekend retreat to learn 'the truth' about the Guidebook. It’s an opportunity too intriguing to refuse. If Everything is Connected, then surely the twin mysteries of the Guidebook and a missing brother must be linked?

The book is due for release mid 2019.
