Claudia Karvan embarks on a literary journey in a new ABC documentary

Actor Claudia Karvan goes on a literary journey in Books That Made Us, a new three-part documentary that is premiering on 23 November at 8.30 pm on ABC TV and ABC iview.

The documentary looks at the writers behind some of Australia’s best stories. Claudia meets with Booker Prize winners to best-selling authors and writers from Richard Flanagan, Alexis Wright, Helen Garner, Tim Winton, David Malouf, Kate Grenville, Christos Tsiolkas, Thomas Keneally, Liane Moriarty, Trent Dalton, Kim Scott, and Melissa Lucashenko.

We learn about the authors inspirations and their motivations to write stories shaped by Australia.

We also see the likes of Tim Minchin and Annabel Crabb, who examine these stories and offer their insights and knowledge on these books.
