BBC's Sherlock and Dr Who Creative Team Is Bringing Us Dracula

BBC's Sherlock and Dr Who Creative Team Is Bringing Us Dracula

Get ready to sink your fangs into the newest adaptation of Bram Stoker’s gothic horror masterpiece, Dracula.

Sherlock creative duo Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat are adapting Dracula for the BBC into three 90-minute episodes, and Netflix will stream the show in most countries, including Australia.

Rather than modernise its characters as they did in the Sherlock adaptations, the story is set in the same 1897 context as the source novel, with the Transylvanian count heading to Victorian London.

About the upcoming series, Moffat and Gatiss have said: 'There have always been stories about great evil. What’s special about Dracula is that Bram Stoker gave evil its own hero.'

Cast and release date are yet to be confirmed.
